You can help animals
The Animal Justice Party Aotearoa NZ is dedicated to advocating for both systematic change and simple fixes that promote animal welfare. In addition to supporting policies that protect animals from harm, such as promoting non-animal testing methods and banning animal exploitation in entertainment, we also advocate for establishing a Commissioner for Animals.
The Commissioner for Animals would play a crucial role in advocating for the welfare of animals, promoting their rights and ensuring that they are protected from harm. By supporting this simple but impactful initiative, the Animal Justice Party Aotearoa NZ hopes to create a more ethical and humane future for all living beings. So, if you’re passionate about making a difference and advocating for animal welfare, join us today!

Our values
What we stand for
The Animal Justice Party Aotearoa NZ believes in promoting a kinder, more compassionate society for all animals. We recognize the inherent value and dignity of all beings, regardless of their species, and we reject the notion that animals are mere commodities or resources for human use and exploitation. Our belief in non-violence is grounded in principles of compassion, empathy, and respect for all life.
We understand that violence perpetuates a cycle of harm and suffering and that non-violence is not just an absence of physical violence, but also extends to emotional, psychological, and economic violence. We strive to create a world where all beings can live free from harm and exploitation, where their basic needs for food, shelter, and safety are met, and where their inherent dignity and worth are respected. We believe that lasting change can only be achieved through peaceful and non-violent means, through education, advocacy, and dialogue.
Our belief in animal rights stems from the understanding that animals are sentient beings with their own unique capacities for feeling pain, fear, and joy. Just as human beings have inherent rights and dignity, animals also deserve equal consideration and protection under the law.
Not just "Animal Welfare"
We believe that animals should have the right to live free from harm and suffering, and that they should not be subjected to cruel and inhumane treatment. This includes practices such as factory farming, animal testing, and the use of animals in circuses and other forms of entertainment, where their welfare is compromised and their autonomy is disregarded. We recognize that animals play a vital role in maintaining a healthy and sustainable planet and believe in protecting their habitats and ensuring that their populations are not threatened by human activities such as deforestation, pollution, and hunting.
In essence, the Animal Justice Party Aotearoa NZ believes in promoting animal rights and non-violence to create a more compassionate and just world for all beings. By advocating for animal welfare and rights, we can protect animals and build a better future for all.
The Animal Justice Party is the only political party you can trust to bring real change for animals.
If you’re passionate about animal rights and want to make a difference, we need your help to spread the word about the Animal Justice Party Aotearoa NZ. As an animal lover, you already know the joy and companionship that comes with sharing your life with a companion animal. But did you know that all animals, not just your beloved furry friends, are capable of feeling pain? Pain is a complex sensory experience that involves both physical and emotional components. Although the capacity for pain varies across species, all animals have some level of sensitivity to pain, which means they can suffer from it.
The Animal Justice Party will address the welfare and rights of all animals!
For example, cows and pigs are sentient beings that have been bred and raised for human consumption. They have complex nervous systems that allow them to experience physical and emotional pain. They may experience pain from physical injuries or illness, as well as emotional distress from being separated from their young, confined in small spaces, or subjected to inhumane treatment. Fish are also capable of feeling pain, even though their nervous systems are different from those of mammals. They may experience pain from being caught on a hook or being confined in overcrowded tanks
As an animal lover, it’s important to recognize that all animals, not just our pets, deserve to be treated with compassion and respect. By promoting animal rights and welfare, we can help to ensure that animals are protected from unnecessary harm and suffering, and that their basic needs for food, shelter, and safety are met. By extending our love and compassion to all animals, we can help to create a kinder and more compassionate world for all beings.
So, whether you’re a devoted pet guardian or simply an animal lover, we urge you to join us in our cause and help to promote animal rights and protection. Together, we can work towards creating a more just and compassionate world for all animals, not just our pets.
